OVERVIEW of Windsor Court

A $22 million renovation has restored Windsor Court to the top of the list of New Orleans hotels. All 316 guestrooms have been refurbished, the Grill Room and Polo Lounge refreshed, a Cocktail Bar has been added to the lobby and a new spa has debuted. It is the only hotel in New Orleans with both AAA Four Diamond and Forbes Four Star awards and deservedly so.

Arrival is to an intimate walled courtyard with a fountain in the center and trees lit with tiny lights. Staffers whisk and you and your bags to reception through a gorgeous lobby with massive flower displays and spectacular artwork. A grand piano provides background music and a cozy bar, refreshments.

THE ROOMS at Windsor Court

80% of the rooms are suites from 600 square feet and up, but even the basic guestrooms are oversized at a generous 400 square feet. Decorated in a classic English/French Vogue style, most feature a robin’s egg blue color scheme with tan and brown accents and have a reading chair and ottoman and work desk and chair. Amenities include luxury linens, complimentary Internet, coffee and coffee maker and Italian marble baths. A Junior Suite (for an extra $50) is a great value, adds 200 square feet and a separate living room.

DINING at Windsor Court

Dark woods, leather high backs, and fox hunt artwork evoke an English Club setting at the Polo Lounge where classic cocktails join an extensive wine list, tasty treats and live jazz.

The Grill Room is New Orleans only AAA Four Diamond and Forbes Four Star Restaurant, serving American cuisine with a New Orleans flair. The elegant dining room is festooned with massive flower displays, wonderful artwork, including a stunning mural and comfortable leather chairs and banquettes. A 600 label Wine Spectator award winning list enhance the experience.

THE SPA at Windsor Court

The hotel has a wonderful 65ft. saltwater rooftop pool with food service and spectacular views and a full service fitness center open at 6am. The Spa is rated the top hotel spa in New Orleans.

They call their staff “The Royal Family” and pay particular attention to them and their guests. They even profile all of their key employees, most of whom have been there for over 10 years, on their website. They make an already good experience even better.
